━━ THE BIG STORY
You Asked, Sherman Listened: Chuy's Is Coming to Highway 75 🌮🌶️
If you've ever made the drive south just for creamy jalapeño, I have good news. 😄
The Sherman Planning and Zoning Commission just approved construction plans for a new Chuy's on a two-acre lot between Texas Roadhouse and IHOP.
And here's the fun part: this wasn't random. City officials say Chuy's was one of the most requested restaurants by Sherman residents in a recent community survey. You asked, and it's happening.
Chuy's won't be alone on 75 either:
🍔 Bubba's 33 is being built nearby
🥩 LongHorn Steakhouse is under construction too
🍳 First Watch plans to move into the former Taco Cabana building on the 75 frontage road near Sara Swamy Drive
That's a whole new stretch of dining options without leaving town. For a long time, Sherman folks drove to McKinney or Allen for this kind of variety, and that's changing fast.
What happens next: No opening date has been announced yet. I'll keep you posted as it moves along. 📍
Quick question for you
What's the one restaurant still missing from Sherman? Hit reply with the name. I'm keeping a list, and clearly the city reads these surveys. 😉
