Hey Friends,

Downtown Sherman’s Friday nights just got a big upgrade. Moonlight Market drew such a crowd that a street is closing to give everyone more room to shop, sip, and stroll. 🌙

We’ve also got a weekend packed with classic cars, adoptable dogs, a fish fry, and a spooky-season art show. Plus a brand-new townhome near downtown, the biggest mistake I see buyers make, and my favorite spot for a little self-care.

Moonlight Market Is Getting More Room Downtown 🌙

Instagram post

Sherman’s Moonlight Market is officially growing up. After bigger-than-expected crowds, TxDOT approved a street closure along Houston Street during Market Fridays to create more space and keep visitors safe.

The market was started by a few downtown business owners who wanted to bring more of us downtown, and it’s inspired by the small evening markets you’d find in Italy. Judging by the crowds, it worked. 🇮🇹

What you’ll find on Market Fridays:

  • 🛍 Local vendors and makers

  • 🎶 Live music

  • 🍷 Drinks for the grown-ups

  • 🧒 Family-friendly activities

Mark your calendar: Markets run every other Friday through the first Friday in November. That means just three left: this Friday, October 9, then October 23 and November 6.

Quick tip: With the street closed, plan a short detour if you’re driving through downtown that evening. Park a block or two away and enjoy the walk in. 🚶‍♀️

Now we want to hear from you! 🌙 Have you been to Moonlight Market yet? Hit reply and tell us your favorite vendor. We may shout them out in an upcoming issue!
