Sherman just approved almost $2 million for park upgrades, and it's a good sign of where this town is headed.
🏟️ Hawn Park is getting two brand new futsal courts, backed by a $1.7 million investment. City leaders say futsal has been growing fast around here, and right now there's nowhere close by to actually play it. Makes sense to build for where the demand already is.
🛝 Over at Old Settlers Park, the playground is getting a full $200,000 replacement. That equipment has been there for about 25 years. A lot of the parents bringing their kids there now probably played on it themselves.

It's all funded through bonds that were already approved
No new taxes, just Sherman following through on what it already committed to
