Sherman-Made Microchips Are Headed Into Your Next Washing Machine
Here's a headline that made me sit up straight this week. Texas Instruments and GE have announced a partnership that's going to put Sherman-made semiconductors into the next generation of GE appliances. 🇺🇸
Starting in 2027, chips manufactured right here at TI's Sherman facility, along with a few other U.S. plants, will supply a third of the chips going into GE's new laundry plant in Kentucky. That means the tech powering smarter, quieter, more energy-efficient washers and dryers across the country will have a piece of Sherman in it.
This is just the latest example of something I've been watching for years now:
🏭 Sherman's semiconductor industry keeps growing, and it keeps landing bigger, more national partnerships
👷 Every one of these deals means real jobs, and real jobs mean real families looking for homes right here in our community

🥕 Sherman Farmers Market — Houston & Crockett, Saturday 8am–12pm. Fresh produce, local vendors, and a good excuse to start your Saturday outside. Free to browse, easy to make a habit of.
🦅 Second Saturday at Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge — 6465 Refuge Road, Saturday 10am (Early Bird Guided Walk at 8am). A free nature program from the Friends of Hagerman, plus an early morning guided walk along Harris Creek Trail if you want to make a full morning of it. No cost for admission or parking.
🏛️ Community Open House at the New Stadium — Tommy Hudspeth Athletic Complex, Saturday 5pm–8pm. Come see Sherman's brand new stadium up close before it's in full swing this fall. Free and open to everyone.
☕ Plug In Texoma – Business Before Hours — Finley 502, 502 N. Elm St., Tuesday 8am–9am. Back by popular demand and now happening every Tuesday instead of just once a month. Grab a coffee, meet fellow Sherman business owners, and build real connections in a casual setting. New Member Spotlight falls on the second Tuesday of each month.
