The city of Sherman is relocating a 2.5-acre pond to make way for the future H-E-B, and instead of just checking a box for federal environmental regulations, they’re turning it into something the whole community can enjoy.
The new wetland park near Friendship Road will feature:

🎣 Fishing access
🦅 Wildlife viewing areas
🅿️ Small parking area
Think Herman Baker-style vibes — plus improved drainage and a healthier natural habitat for the area.
